After nearly seven years of serving in Raleigh NC, Layne came to Rosemary in March of 2009. Layne and his wife Stephanie have lived in just about every region of the state.  Layne earned his B.A. from Western Carolina University where he met and married Stephanie.  After completing his undergraduate education he started pursuing his Master of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University School and moved to Shelby, NC.  After feeling the call of God to move in a different direction, Layne and Stephanie moved to the outskirts of Raleigh, NC and Layne transferred to Campbell University where he earned the Master of Divinity degree.

On graduation Layne began serving congregations in NC.  He has served in Rockingham, Lexington, and Raleigh, NC.  In 2006 Layne earned the Doctor of Ministry degree from Baylor University.  Layne considers himself a lifetime learner and always seems to be reading something new.  Layne particularly enjoys learning about the faith, and is passionate about his desire to know more about God.

Layne and Stephanie have a pre-school daughter, Madeline, who keeps their lives busy and full of laughter.
